- What actually fits in a 20ft container?
- The contents of a three-bedroom house — lounge suite, whitegoods, three bed frames and around forty boxes. That is the container packed properly, floor to ceiling, with no aisle left down the middle. If you want to get back in and reach something without unpacking, plan on more like a two-bedroom load. Storing a car, boat or trailer? Ring us first so we can check the access.
- Do I need my own padlock?
- Yes, and that is deliberate. You fit your own lock and keep the only keys. We cannot open your container, and neither can anyone else. Bring a decent weatherproof padlock the first time you come in.
- When can I get to my container?
- Seven days a week, 5am to 10pm, using your own PIN at the gate. You never need to book a time or wait for someone to let you in. The office is open weekdays 8am to 5pm if you want a hand.
- Is my stuff going to stay dry?
- The containers are sealed steel shipping containers on hardstand, above ground and well away from run-off. They are wind and watertight. For anything sensitive we would still suggest a pallet underneath and a cover over the top.
- How long do I have to commit for?
